The opening of the 2013-2014
year is finally here! I would like to thank all our families that attended my
Meet & Greet and the New Family Orientation. I hope all of our scholars are
excited about the wonderful school year we will have at Imagine Andrews (IA)!
Thank you for ensuring that our
scholars are in compliance with our uniform dress code. You can find additional uniform details on
our website.
The Imagine Andrews uniform consists of:
- Oxford shirts (short- or
long-sleeved)
- Khaki pants/shorts (no
cargo pockets) for boys
- Khaki scooter/skirt for
girls
- Necktie (navy/red/white
stripe) for 1st – 6th grades
- Red sweater (cardigan or
vest)
- Black/brown/khaki belt
- Black shoes
- Black or white
socks/tights
Ties are required for students in grades 1-6, and optional for students in kindergarten. Red sweaters are an optional accessory. Students have a choice between the vest and the cardigan, and boys and girls can wear either of the two. However, they must be purchased from our vendor to ensure they bear an official Imagine Andrews logo.
All required uniform items — shirts, ties, and sweaters/cardigans — must be purchased from our vendor, By Grace Uniform Outfitters, because they will bear an official Imagine Andrews logo that is specific to our school. Call By Grace Uniform Outfitters at (301) 877-7780 or visit their website for more information.. The Imagine Andrews access code is 4798.
If welcome letters were not
received this week, scholars will be directed to their correct homeroom on the
first day.
Traffic
Safety
At
IA safety for your child and everyone else is a priority. Please keep these few
rules in mind regarding traffic safety:
The following traffic pattern has been developed with
scholar safety in mind and to expedite the drop off and pickup process. With
that said, we ask that parents remain patient during drop off and pickup.
Please read very carefully.
1. Non-base
parents should enter base using the main gate, make a right at the first
traffic light onto Perimeter Rd. Perimeter should be taken all the way to San
Antonio Blvd. where parents will make a left turn.
2. All parents/cars should approach
Imagine Andrews heading west to east on San Antonio Blvd. This means when you
approach Imagine Andrews, the school should be on your right.
3. Parents should make a right hand turn into the parking
lot and proceed around the lot “banked” closely to the curve. This will allow
us to provide a “square shaped” traffic pattern through the lot.
4. For those who are leaving base, they should continue
heading east (right hand turn out of the school lot) on San Antonio to Virginia
Ave. (there is a stop sign at Virginia).
Make a left onto Virginia Ave and proceed down to Menoher Rd. Make a
left onto Menoher and continue to Perimeter. Make a right on Perimeter. Follow
Perimeter to the Main Gate exit.

Once on the IA campus,
please report to the main office.
o
Sign in on the visitor
sign in sheet and get the proper ID. Please display the ID on you at all times
while in the building. This will help us with assisting you while here.
o
Please do not be offended
if our front office staff asks to see your ID while signing the visitor’s log. It is a part of the PGCPS policies and
procedures to do so.
