Parent Weekly Update for the Week of May 26th

I would like to take this opportunity to honor all who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom.  Memorial Day is a special time set aside to reflect and show our respect to the men and women who deservedly are counted as our heroes.

All medication must be picked up from the nurse by June 13, 2014.  Any medication not picked by 3:00 pm on June 13 will be appropriately disposed.  If you have questions, please call Nurse Morgan on 301.350.6021.  No medication will be sent home with students.

We are looking for donations of bottled water for Field Day which is Thursday, June 12^th. If you are able to donate, please kindly do so by Monday, June 9. Thanking you in advance!

Parent Weekly Update for the Week of May 12th

Words cannot sufficiently express the gratitude I have for each parent and the IAPTO that showed such appreciation to IA teachers and the entire staff at Imagine Andrews this week.  We had goodies every day this week!  The “Grand Finale” was an incredible luncheon for the staff. THANK YOU….THANK YOU….THANK YOU!!!

The last General Membership PTO meeting for the 2013-2014 SY will be held on Wednesday, May 14.  We invite all to come out and be a part of the election for the 2014-2015 IAPTO Officers.  The nomination form is included in this update.

We will also have all lost and found garments on display on Wednesday, May 14 from 2:00-3:00 and 5:00-6:00 in the cafeteria.  All uniform items unclaimed after May 14 will be donated to the PTO for the Uniform Swap. More information will follow about the Uniform Swap.

The “Yearbook Signing Party” and Dance will be held on Friday, June 6.  We have only a limited number of yearbooks for purchase at this time.  Please see Ms. Carter if you are interested in purchasing one.  Yearbooks are $18 (cash or money order).

The Spring Book Fair at IA has ended.  Thank you to all the supported this event.  Thank you also to the many parent and staff volunteers that assisted us with the Book Fair.  You may still purchase books online at :

Parent Weekly Update for the Week of May 5th

We had another exciting week at the Eagle’s Nest!

We celebrated our Kindergarten and First Grade 3^rd Quarter accomplishments during the K-1 Awards Assembly on Friday, May 2nd.  Congratulations to all our scholars recognized today!

We would like to thank the IAPTO for sponsoring the Imagine Andrews Kona Ice Day this afternoon.  All scholars enjoyed a special treat of Kona Ice!

We would like to say thank you to our parent volunteers that assisted with the Kona Ice treats… Mrs. Pickler, Mrs. Higdon, and Mrs. Rayno!

                                         

Teacher Appreciation Week is next week (May 5-May 9)!  Please help me celebrate our wonderful Imagine Andrews Teachers for all they do!  You can have your child make a card, create a poem, draw a picture, etc. to show their teachers how much they are appreciated!            

It is also Nurses Appreciation Week next week!  We will be also recognizing Nurse Morgan for all he does for our Imagine Andrews scholars!

The Spring Book Fair begins on Monday, May 5^th.  Scholars will be able to browse and create their “wish list” on Monday. Tuesday, the Book Fair hours are from 3:00-6:00pm and Wednesday, 4:00-7:00 pm.

We would like to congratulate Imagine Andrews parent, Mrs. Laura Shelton, on being named the PGCPS 2014 Teacher of the Year!  Ms. Shelton is a science teacher at Benjamin Foulois Creative and Performing Arts Academy. Her daughter, Ramiya Shelton is a 5^th grade scholar at Imagine Andrews!
